A Hospital Manager's primary responsibility is assuring the smooth day-to-day operations of a Veterinary Hospital open 7 days a week - with primary emphasis on overseeing strict standards of quality care. ![]() Mary Francuz "At IVS-UP we know that clients value a special relationship with their Veterinarian and staff. After 32 years in practice we are fortunate to have a sizeable base of both longtime and new clients," comments Mary Francuz. "The most significant challenge we face each day is to take time with our clients - to explain not only the details of today's treatment or service but what "well care" and preventative care options should be addressed in the future. Healthy and happy pets are the result of well educated owners - we are dedicated to making sure that our clients are as educated as we are in caring for our own pets!" Assistant Managers![]() Kim Harper "As an Assistant Manager my number one goal is to oversee the receptionist area of the hospital, which is a huge responsibility," says Kim Harper, Assistant Manager at IVS-NP. "We often see over 50 clients and patients everyday - we admit them and release them - and manage the formidable paperwork and medical documents associated with their visits. We are the client advocate part of the hospital more than all others - it's my job to make sure that clients are being served and assisted as efficiently as possible. When client communication breaks down or we make an error, I am on the front lines finding a way to fix a problem. At IVS we are not afraid to admit we may miss a detail or two. If we do, we correct it and perhaps change a system or two in order to make sure we don't disappoint a client again." ![]() Elizabeth Cordova "At IVS-NP we enjoy meeting new people!" comments IVS-Northpark's Lead Receptionist Elizabeth Cordova. "We have been a part of the Northwood area of Irvine for just 3 years and most of the growth in Irvine is in this area. I am here most weekends and really enjoy making sure all the details of pet care visits are easy and 'turnkey' for our clients. Vet care can be confusing-our receptionist staff is patient and caring-we welcome the thousands of client questions that come our way every day. If we can't answer your question right away we will find the answer and try to help you as soon as we can. We are all about easing your concerns." Kennel Manager![]() Rhonda Terry "I am proud to say that I am in charge of assuring that every boarded pet-and every bath and groom pet is returned to their owner healthy, happy, cleaner or more beautiful than when they were admitted to us," comments IVS-UP's Kennel Manager Rhonda Terry. "We routinely bathe and groom over 25 pets on average per day. My kennel pet care staff consists of 2 groomers, and 10 bathers and pet care kennel staff. All of them are excellent at handling pets-all are experienced at not only providing quality baths and grooms - but are trained in detecting health care issues. This is critical as many clients do not know what to look for in detecting possible problems. We have an excellent opportunity to thoroughly evaluate skin, hair, and ears during the bathing process. We walk all pets twice a day when they board with us-again we have an excellent opportunity to note issues with eating, drinking, gait and other normal bodily functions." Head Technicians![]() Chris Tanaka Head Technician Chris Tanaka has been working with Dr. Cole at IVS-UP for over 14 years. "I love the medicine," comments Chris. "It is my responsibility to make sure our extremely competent six-technician staff has the most advanced equipment available to them and the most up-to-date training. It is my express responsibility to oversee the maintenance and calibration of all hospital equipment-from an oxygen generator to our ultrasound unit and digital x-ray unit. By supporting my Tech team I am assuring that all patient care and treatment is always at the highest level. As Technicians our job is to provide treatment and diagnostic support to our Veterinary staff enabling them to focus on diagnosis and treatment protocols. Together our primary role is assuring pet comfort and clear communication with our clients." ![]() Aimee Schildt Head Technician Aimee Schildt at IVS-Northpark is an IVS veteran of six years and is a seasoned technician with over 17 years experience in Veterinary Medicine. "Our 4 tech staff is excited about our new Northpark location and is enjoying the daily opportunity to see long-time clients and the many new clients. Our new facility is equipped with the latest technology - and we are using it to practice the highest quality medicine available." Lead Team![]() Technician/Nursing Staff![]() |
