Dr. Yamasaki

Dr. Kristin Yamasaki joined IVS in January 2010. She was born and raised in sunny Southern California and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California at San Diego in 2004. Dr. Yamasaki received her Veterinary degree from Western University in 2008 and then completed additional training during a one year medicine and surgery internship at Southern California Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Irvine.

Dr. Yamasaki has worked extensively in the veterinary field; from receptionist to technician and now veterinarian. She loves meeting pets and discovering the little quirks that make them a delight to their family.

Dr. Yamasaki enjoys surgery and internal medicine, and has a fondness for ferrets. She lives with her husband, Mark, and their pets “Mocha”, an easy-going cat, “Nika”, mini Toto look-a-like, and “Kona”, a Golden Retriever they adopted from Taiwan. When not caring for your pets, Dr. Yamasaki enjoys cooking, eating, travelling, and just spending time with family and friends.
